Stone Roses Reform For Glasto 2005?

There are reports in the papers today that the Stone Roses have been asked to reform for Glastonbury to replace Kylie.

Former guitarist, John Squire, has also told Time Out that he's keen to get them back together, despite an ongoing feud with the former front-man Ian Brown.

An online petition's already appeared urging the band, who haven't played together in nearly ten years, to do a one off gig.

There is no word back from Glastonbury organisers yet but Radio 1 had an exclusive chat with bass player Mani, who's now with Primal Scream, and he confirmed that John wants to kiss and make up:

"Last time I saw John we had a talk about it and it's something that we wouldn't rule out, but I think Mr Brown might have different ideas about it"

"They're two grown men now though, so hopefully they'll have a natter and we'll see what comes of it."

Mani also said it was too early to talk about Glastonbury though - mainly as the slot Kylie's pulled out of is the same time as Ian Brown's solo set.
