Stone Roses Reunion Rumours Scotched

Ian Brown helped to scotch rumours of a Stone Roses reunion at a gig this weekend by performing hits from the bandís catalogue while former members Mani and Reni were in the audience.

The monkey man was appearing at a gig in Manchester for the current run of Carling Live 24 events where bass player Mani and drummer Reni were stood in the audience. Brown performed several Rosesí classics on his own rather than inviting his former band mates onstage to join him. While itís fairly well known that the singer has fallen out with guitarist John Squire, Brown has never publicly snubbed the other two until now.

The Mirror reports that Mani who is now part of Primal Scream could be overheard grumbling "It would have been nice to have been fucking asked."

Brown went on to throw a wild party in the four star Malmaison hotel for 200-plus revellers when one of his own entourage activated the fire alarm forcing 500 guest into the car park at 5am. Still up to his old Monkey Business then?
