Top Story: Gallagher Joins Ian Brown Onstage
Continuing his support for his friend and fellow Mancunian Noel Gallagher turned out to play onstage with Ian Brown at his gig at the Brixton Academy in London last night (October 22).
Gallager previously joined the onetime Stone Roses singer onstage to play the recent single 'Keep What Ya Got' at Brown's hometown concert in Manchester on October 18, and last night the Oasis guitarist flew back from LA (where Oasis are recording their new album) to repeat the performance at the second of two sold out nights at the Brixton Academy.
Brown also continued his tradition of including some Stone Roses songs in his set, playing six songs by his former band, to what Xfm's correspondence referred to as "emotional scenes". As such grown men were seen crying as Brown and his band played 'Sally Cinnamon', 'Sugar Spun Sister', 'Waterfall', 'Made Of Stone', 'She Bangs The Drums' and 'I Wanna Be Adored'.
For the encore Brown was also joined by U.N.K.L.E. mainman James Lavelle for versions of the songs 'Be There' and forthcoming single 'R.E.I.G.N.'
While the date marked the official end of Brown's UK tour in support of his new album 'Solarized' he will also be playing the Scratch Pervert Breakdown night at London's Fabric nightclub Friday November 5.
The new U.N.K.L.E. / Ian Brown single 'R.E.I.G.N.' is released on Global Underground Records on November 15.
