23rd January 2005 Ian Brown gave a brief interview (about 3 minutes) to BBC 5Live, nothing musical this time, just chatting about football and his most respected players. To listen to the brief interview, right-click here and save target as (also in the Audio sectio). Thanks go out to whichever kind person sent it to my new gmail account!

21st January 2005 Ian Brown played a short acoustic set on 6Music on Wednesday (19th) (which you can listen to here). He was accompanied on (acoustic) guitar by Tim Hutton, who provided the distinguished trumpeting on single 'Time Is My Everything'. After a short introduction Brown launched in a perfect performance of the current single. A brief questions and answers session then followed, mostly centered around latest album Solarized. He finished the set with his current favourite 'Love Bug', which sounded unique without its usual horn-work. The interview continued off-line and took a darker turn, moving onto John Squire's recent comments in Q Magazine. To read that full interview, click here.

12th January 2005 Is Gary 'Mani' Mounfield really the third Stone Rose about to go solo? Well according to The Sun today, he's already working on a solo album, hoping to have it in a releasable state by 2006 with those closest to the former Stone Roses bassist refering to it as a "progressive sound tinged with electronica". 12th January 2005 Ian Brown is to feature on Xfm's X-Posure Live Sessions on 17th January (next Monday) from 9pm, however with no mention (from Xfm) of new material/session, I can only assume that it is the 'Keep What Ya Got' session from September '04, however it's a great chance for anyone who missed it. You can tune into XFM at xfm.co.uk.

12th January 2005 I have now moved over enough of the thousands of files to my new server to make the switch to John-Squire.com, while this should make no real changes for you at first, it may be that some of the links/images don't work at the moment (and that old 0catch.com may die in the future). Report any broken links, missing image, etc. to admin@ianbrownwhispers.co.uk.
