28th June 2005 According to Gigwise.com they have been intouch with a source close to The Stone Roses who has claimed that the band have recently rehearsed together, though they can't say whether John Squire was at such sessions. It is highly unlikely that this story will prove true at this time, due to the recent busy schedules of both Ian Brown and Mani who have both been preparing for their recent sets at Glastonbury. 24th June 2005 Ian Brown's forthcoming Greatest Hits compilation, 'The Greatest' is now available to pre-order from amazon.co.uk. Both the Standard CD and Deluxe Edition will be released on the 5th September.
22nd June 2005 The release of Ian Brown's forthcoming single 'All Ablaze' has been put back two weeks and will now be released on 22nd August, with the Greatest Hits collection - named by IanBrown.co.uk as 'Ian Brown - The Greatest' - seeing its release on the 5th September. 'The Greatest' will be released on Vinyl LP, standard edition CD plus a strictly limited Deluxe Edition with bonus CD with the Deluxe Edition receiving extended sleeve notes and booklet all in the shape of a special book size format. Well thanks for all the visits/comments over the last twelve months and I hope you've found the site (which was going to be just a mini-site section of JSU initially) of interest.

13th June 2005 Ian Brown announces his 'Greatest Hits' tour. He will play the following venues - Doncaster Dome (Thursday 17th November), Glasgow Academy (Friday 18th), Newcastle Academy (Monday 21st), Birmingham Academy (Tuesday 22nd), Cardiff University (Friday 25th), Brixton Academy (Saturday 26th), Poole Lighthouse (Tuesday 29th), Portsmouth Guildhall (Wednesday 30th), Norwich UEA (Thursday 1st December), MEN Arena (Saturday 3rd). Tickets go on sale 9am Friday 17th June from gigsandtours.com.
As previously reported, Ian Brown's Greatest Hits album will be released on Fiction Records on 22nd August. A brand new single, entitled, 'All Ablaze' will see a release beforehand on 8th August.

9th June 2005 The Yards give details of their next single release 'Forget Your Regrets', which will be released (as a CD and download single) on Monday 18th July. The CD single will also include a live version of 'Get Off My Back'. In other news, The Yards have had to cancel their Sheffield (The Boardwalk, tonight) and London (The Metro, tomorrow) gigs because frontman Chris Helme has a serious ear infection and as a result cannot sing. The band send their apologies to everyone who was stepping out to see them and should re-schedule the dates very soon.
6th June 2005 XFM talks to Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis who confirms that dance act Basement Jaxx will now headline the festival after a string of bands turned down the top spot. He also speaks of his efforts to get the Roses back together for the occasion which Ian Brown personally turned his down on.
The article goes on to suggest that this will end the current reunion rumours, however, I only see it is an end to the Glasto '05 rumours (which I believe would have always been impossible), I suspect will hear more Rosey mentions in the press and interviews over the coming months.
