28th November 2005 Well, a top night was had by all last night at the Ian Brown gig at the Brixton Academy, with guest appearances from Aziz and (guest bass) by Happy Monday's man Paul Ryder and 'The Greatest' Ian Brown songs to date it was an amazing night from start to finish. I've given it a write up, which you can read here along with a full set-list.

26th November 2005 In a bid to get you all to come back to the JSU/Whispers forums (or to entice you to sign up if you've not yet made the trip), I've re-opened JSU Members Only section, which is packed with rarer stuff that you'll have a job finding elsewhere. I am also looking into ways of rewarding our more regular regulars even further... more info on that to come.

Brownie's just completing his busiest year but he's still busy on his tour and we'd love to hear from you if you've been to any of his recent gigs, share your reviews/sets/photos. Visit JSU/Whispers forums.

24th November 2005 Happy 43rd Birthday, Mr. John Squire. 2005's been a fairly quiet year for John, only popping his head up to show off a few of his latest artworks in a couple of interviews and letting us know that his plans include recording a (third studio) ferocious guitar album, working on putting the Roses back together and "To become the World's greatest living painter and musician." Let's hope he returns to us soon in 2006 and fulfils them all! (well at least gets in touch with our Mr. Brown).

22nd November 2005 BBC Entertainment News reports on late night's halted Newcastle Academy gig. Speaking to the organisers, they said "it was simply a safety precaution as there was no danger the floor would collapse during the concert on Monday night.". They say they are talking to Ian Brown about the possibility of re-scheduling the date where original tickets will be valid or refunds offered to those who can't attend, they said refunds would definitely be offered if they can't rearrange it. 22nd November 2005 Last night's Ian Brown gig at the Newcastle Academy was stopped five songs in and the crowd was evacuated. It seems that part of the floor had started to drop causing safety concerns and the decision to end the set came during Ian's performance of 'Set My Baby Free'. Eye witnesses claim that the floor was taking a battering as the place errupted to the Stone Roses tunes 'I Wanna Be Adored' and 'Made Of Stone'. Ian played 'I Wanna Be Adored', 'Made Of Stone', 'All Ablaze', 'Dolphins Were Monkeys', 'Whispers' and was interrupted during 'Set My Baby Free' when the crowd were asked to leave the venue. That setlist and all other recent confirmed setlists added to the Gigography.
