POWERFUL PIECE OF ROCK POETRY

A true legend from the 'Baggy' era around the turn of the 90s, John Squire was of course the creative mainstay that drove the Stone Roses into the history books. Heavy baggage to carry indeed, but with his first solo album John Squire has managed to take the best of his original influences and meld them into a powerful piece of rock poetry. Dylan, Lennon and Hendrix are all present and correct in this musical melting pot, but the album takes their musical hindsight yet looks resolutely ever forward.
