John Squire's 'suicide' shocker


John Squire has filmed a chilling video for his debut solo single, 'Joe Louis', in which he appears to chop his own head off.

Squire, whose debut solo album 'Time Changes Everything' was released last month, directed the video for 'Joe Louis' which is released on October 21.

But the video will not have its original twist ending - where the former Stone Roses guitarist lays under a guillotine and lets the blade drop - shown on pre-9pm TV due to its morbid subject matter.

The video features Squire in a workshop building something that transpires to be a guillotine. In a dark twist, the singer and guitarist can be seen laying under the guillotine and letting the blade fall. But there is no blood on show, as the final frames actually show his guitar being chopped up rather than Squire himself.
