Learning to fly, tom petty. Just beautiful.
Man, I love that song!

Not listening right now, but the other day "I Am The Resurrection" came up on the radio, and as I was enjoying listening to it, it hit me that it was probably the first time I heard it - or any other Roses song - in months.

It could be for someone in ill health. At any age.
Go on then, what's wrong with Mani's health?
The rumour going round a couple of years ago was emphysema. I don't know if that was true or not, but he definitely had breathing problems of some sort.

He's 55. He has more money in the bank that ever before. He has 2 young kids and he looked like he was in poor health for the majority of the reunion. It's time for him to put his feet up and enjoy the rest of his life.
I'll go with that.

Re: Ruined, Tarnished, Status Quo or Enhanced?

Tarnished, probably. I mean, the Debut stands as a classic album still, but it would seem more and more that it was more a fluke than the result of a highly creative and functioning band. They got lucky once when everything converged: the right band at the right time with the right songs and vibe. B...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

An awful lot of Beatles. Was tidying up my CDs and found all their albums so I stuck them in the stereo and played them back to back. The Beatles started it all, for me. The first band I seriously got into when I was about 14. They had folded as a band a decade before and John Lennon had been dead a...
