John Frusciante's Solo Efforts

Post by windsofthewest » Fri May 19, 2017 12:54 am

Hi, posted this in another thread loosely but I figure it may spark more discussion on its own - (and builds the activity of the forum)

Anyone listened to these tunes? Whatever your thoughts on RHCP (I reckon they're quite good btw), Frusciante was undoubtedly the melodic soul of the band. RHCP's song Wet Sand exemplifies this.

Anyway, if you're interested in hearing his take on psychedelia and a little bit of garage, these two songs are a good place to start:

Note JF records a fair chunk of the instruments (and vocals) himself.

I love RHCP, seen them twice! I have every album. I also have a few of Jf's albums but all soundin a bit strange to me, I need to give them another listen
