I honestly think it's appalling. A desperate & incredibly soulless attempt at hitting mainstream radio that fails miserably.

Such a shame, I saw him play a surprise gig by London bridge to about 150 people Sunday & it was incredible. I think the warning signs were there that he only played 2 or 3 songs from the record.

The record makes me want to vomit, I'll forgive him because I know he's capable of so much more but I can't believe that THIS record has taken him so long to churn out.

Listening to the new Beck and loving it. Colors, Seventh Heaven, I'm So Free and Fix Me the best songs. I especially dig I'm So Free, which is catchy and heavy at the same time - kind of Blur meets Nirvana and go through the Beck filters; while Fix Me sounds like the link between Colors and Morning Phase. The title track makes me think of a more poppy version of the 2013 singles. The sped up/slowed down vocals remind me of Gimme). Love Dear Life with its Beatles-esque tones and bleak lyrics, and the beats of No Distractions (people have been comparing it to the Police). Dreams sounds even better in the context of the album and Wow it's always been a great song. The least convincing tracks for me are Up All Night and Square One (I don't know why, the latter doesn't register, I keep forgetting what it sounds like).

It's a great pop album, joyful and infectious :)

I leave the country for a week and when does he choose to come to the UK and play a surprise gig in London? Luckily he played another one at Electric Ballroom last night and could make it to that one. Incredible is the word. He premiered Colors (the song) live.

Not particularly enjoying noel or liams new work. The only thing I will say is atleast liam isn't doing it to feed his ego, you can tell the guy just really loves performing. Holy mountain is awful, and after hearing what he had to say on the radio about it I'm convinced he's (creatively) lost the plot. Fair play to him for trying something new, but is it even that big of a departure from what he's usually doing?

Sleep, holy mountain (better than noels pish of the same name)

Red Rose speedway - wings

Made my own version for the car, removed My Love which is quite a complex composition with
Good melodies but too sugary for me and the decent instrumental loup and replaced them with two songs from the same sessions. Live and let die & mama's little girl which was only released as a b-side in 1990 I'm sure.
