Even if the new album is half decent, I think Liam (or his promoter) is over estimating his appeal.
Yeah, that sounds a little optimistic.

If he struggles to sell tickets, look for the Oasis 1994-96 catalogue to start dominating the set-lists...
Definitely Maybe played in its entirety for the first time.

He sold out the entire tour within a few hours.

Fair play to Liam for the sell out tour. That took me by surprise.

I don't really get that. What would be the mass-appeal of Liam Gallagher at this point in time?

I guess we've reached the stage in live mainstream rock where it's 100% retro. What you've done in the past year is irrelevant, as audiences simply want to see past-their-prime legends playing their greatest hits. (See: Stone Roses' 2013-16 tours)

Liam sold out his Scottish date in minutes, but seems like it had been really hit by touts. I managed to get tickets for Noel who has better tunes in my opinion, I like both solo albums and this new one seems like it is gonna be very interesting. The LG stuff just seems ok, but he is so enthusiastic and wants it so much it makes me want him to succeed but to be honest I only really like 4 tunes: Chinatown, for what it’s worth, paper crown, and doesn’t have to be that way. None of them spectacular but 4 decent wee tunes, his voice is sounding nice and he will do nice versions of oasis tunes. It’s a shame he is such a dick to Noel - there is no chance Noel is gonna want to go back to oasis for a very long time if ever. Sad because after watching supersonic recently I realised I am lucky having seen 4 or 5 of their old gigs which were mostly in small venues and did not appreciate it enough.

heard a clip of the new Noel/David Holmes record and I think I love it. Massive improvement on the dadrock shit of recent years

Saw Liam in Birmingham last night, absolutely brilliant! He's singing so much better these days!
