Otis blue was my entry point into soul music as an album format. Too often soul is spoken about as genre that was only concerned with singles but this record opened up that world for me, I've had years of discovering wonderful soul records.
These days, when I buy CDs, it's mostly 'soul' and jazz... but mainly soul.
