Would anyone have expected some sort of IB solo news by now?
He's been recording his album in Liverpool. Will be out early 2018.

Thanks mucker, hope you're right. Never been a huge IB fan but proper got into his solo stuff during the Roses tours. More excited by a tour in all honesty and potential John Squire input. Beautiful Thing was a clear IB song and I absolutely loved it.

only interested in Ian's solo career this time round to see if he spills anything about the roses, whether its little digs or if he implies something in his songs

I saw IB twice during his solo years once when he supported the Manics in 2000 where he sounded absolutely atrocious and a few years later in 2005 in the Ambassador Dublin where he was a lot better however he bizarrely nearly came to blows with his sound engineer as he kept going over to him trying to head butt him and constantly hassling him for whatever reason ,usually these things are dealt with off stage or without the audience seeing it but it was very odd to see ,in fairness the gig was amazing .like Liam Gallagher he is no Beethoven so he needs a good team of musicians and producers around him to put out a decent album like most I'd much prefer the Roses to put out new music but I'd settle for an IB solo album .

Is there any news on what Squire is up to? Seems a bit strange that all the talk is of IB’s next move. One thing this reunion has done in my opinion, is to bring Squire back into the spotlight. Seen so much of ian brown over the years and very little John Squire.

Like Mani, apparently he sold some guitars too.

I should imagine Squire will disappear again. The reunion gave him one last payday so he can paint his time away and not worry about putting food on the table.

I think this will be Brown's last album. He'll release it then tour for a year or so.

Good health hopefully remaining, I fully expect the Roses to reunite somewhere down the line for more gigs.

Whilst the demand would be nowhere near as great as before, they could still put a few zeros on their bank balances by filling a few more stadiums.
