The fact that I never thought I'd see them live and I did. Heaton Park fisrt night was special for that reason. I also liked Milan, because it was a much smaller show and they were note perfect.

They ended up getting it together in the 2000s, but the Stereo MCs somewhat hilariously put out a #2 album in 1992 and didn't release another until 2001, apparently with no real reason other than writer's block.

Stereo MCs long gap probably down to spending money and too much weed.... ;)

Even a three man Monkees (RIP Davy) put out a half decent album very recently, and their conflicts and ego clashes are legendary.
There's probably more chance of The Jam putting a new album out than the Roses. And Weller will never re-form The Jam.

My Highlights were : Lyon, Carlisle, Ethiad, Hampden
Lowlights: the lack of new material and realisation it was because they are just not capable of it

Depressing because felt so excited about it and confident they were gonna blow us away.

A recent highlight was the awe-inspiring and heartwarming spectacle of thousands upon thousands of Roses fans converging on Wembley Stadium. The concert was wonderful too.

I'd be just as excited if by some miracle it was to happen again next year.

It would be just like them to confound everyone and put something new out.

Then again, it would also be just like them to confound everyone and not put another thing out ever.... ;)

I think their track record shows that they will not be putting anything out.

Quite a shame, I got Black Sabbath's The End Blu Ray and CD box set yesterday. Great final show in Birmingham. It would be so easy for them to release something like this for Heaton Park, we know that was video taped and they wore the same clothes at all 3 gigs. Or Etihad or Madison Square Garden assuming those were video recorded. But the band can't even seem to manage that.

MSG was definitely filmed. A cameraman can be seen behind Reni's kit. Budokan was probably pro filmed too. I also heard somewhere that Shane Meadows filmed other stuff throughout the later gigs. Don't know if he was planning another Roses project or film. But the band have probably pulled the plug on that anyway.
