As much as I loved the Second Coming, it marked the end of an era for me. I hadn't seen the Wembley or Feile clips before, flippin' magic! | ||
| 16) | Nick | Male | London | dusty@dustywagon.co.uk | 08.01.2005 | I remember being down the front at the Brixton gig, I got so excited that I had to run off and be sick when "I wanna be adored" kicked in! Made it back to the front easily though, probably due to sick breath! Your sites are top quality mate, keep up the good work! |

Me and all my mates were in our first term at the different universities we'd all gone off to. I remember all the phone calls and letters (pre e-mail) going back and forwards between us as the release dates for Love Spreads and the album got closer. We all spoke to eachother after hearing the single on the Evening Session, and again after buying the album. Excellent days, wicked album. |

| 02) | Paul @ JSU | Male | East Sussex | admin@john-squire.com | 05.12.2004 | What can I say about Second Coming? It was the single most important album of my teenage years, dictating my future music preferences, inspiring me no end to learn new things like web design (so I could bring you this very site!), not to mention starting up my Roses collection, with the whole of the Silvertone backcatalogue to discover for the first time… A school-pal of mine, got me round his house and played me the album, I had never heard anything like it, before (or since!)… We played it everyday, until his copy skipped then I went out and bought my copy. His dad had this mega-old mega-loud stereo system and every weekend we used to play ‘Begging You’ at insane levels and danced round like a couple of monkeys, it became out going-out tune. His dad was a reverend of a Methodist church just around the corner from him, and my mate got the keys one day and we went in there… I tell you, you’ve not heard Second Coming until you’ve heard it played at full volume through a church PA system with the sound coming out at you from all directions, John Squire guitar ripping across neighbouring streets and Ian Brown singing about Breaking Into Heaven, very biblical! Hehehe. |
| 01) | Paul @ JSU | Male | East Sussex | admin@john-squire.com | 03.12.2004 | Thanks for stopping by the Second Coming 10th Anniversary mini-site. I've set up this book for you to leave your thoughts/memories/stories of Second Coming... |
